Laura shared that when her aging father became ill and required a great deal of personal care, the family was more concerned for the health and well-being of their mother who became their fathers’ full-time caregiver. In fact, their mother did pass away before their father from the side effects of being a caregiver; burnout, mental and physical exhaustion and her lack of self-care.  The family decided that this could happen to anyone and eventually put their father into a full-time care facility where he is now happy and well cared for.
